Description:
1963 MGB Roadster built 2001 from rust free, acid dipped californian shell.
Car has just had complete repaint at a cost of £2500 and is finished in 2
pack Jaguar Pacific Blue Metallic with no logos/vinyl at all. Custom cages
fully welded cage, 42mm main hoops, 38mm secondary bars all in T45 with NEW
correct FIA approved padding and front crossbar behind dash to create full
safety cell. Ally bonnet. Leather tie straps front and rear. Works 2 layer
hard top. Car weighed 902 kg with overdrive box and 15 litres of fuel so
should weigh around 875kg with new gearbox fitted.
Car can be supplied with either all steel 1950cc engine with Mass Engineering Billet
Crank, Piper 315 cam, Big Valve ported and flowed head wih triple
layer competition head gasket. Matched Carillo rods and Omega pistons. Ally
flywheel and 7" sintered lightweight clutch. Engine is new and done 1 hours
bedding in only. OR can be supplied with FIA legal 1840cc (details on request) 45 DCOE Weber with long inlet manifold and big bore branch
manifold and exhaust. Brand new ally radiator ( original FIA legal rad also available) and catch tank.
Brand new 4 synch gearbox with Jack Knight Straight cut close ratio gear
set. No hours since build. Spare standard rebuilt gearbox with works
overdrive as a spare.
Banjo Rear axle with 4.3 diff and Quaife lsd. 2 sets Minilte style 14"
wheels with brand new Avon ZZ wets and drys.
Rebuilt re-valved front lever arms and brand new adjustable rear lever arm
shocks. Competition rear leafs and 1100lb front springs. Ferodo DS3000 front
pads and carbotech rear shoes. V8 Discs and calipers on the front. Car also comes with FIA legal 3/8" discs and calipers.
Fully plumbed in fire extinguisher which has just been tested. Sabelt Monaco
"big ear" seat valid to 2009 and New 3" Willans 4 point harness in date to
2010. Brand new 60 litre fuel cell in date to 2010.
Car has FIA papers but will also be supplied with HTP papers (subject to engine spec) to qualify for European
events.
Car holds lap records in both the BCV8 championship and Thoroughbred Sports
Car Championship and comes with masses of results sheets to prove it's
pedigree. It won the BCV8 C'ship outright in 2004 and the FIA Class in 2006.
It also won the Thoroughbred FIA Class in 2006. |
