Description:
Constructed by Colin Blower, the car was driven by Lee Caroline to back-to-back TVR Tuscan Challenge championships in 2003 and 2004 as No 38, backed by Chelsea FC.
It is a lightweight special, weighing just 820kg (and carried ballast up to the minimum 850kg regulation weight). Lightweight bodywork, roll cage, all brackets and fixings, K nuts throughout and small diameter braided oil lines: this is the lightest Tuscan available
The car is has its original and correct 2004 championship winning engine– dry sumped 450bhp 4.5 litre TVR AJP V8, with the TVR Engineering seals still intact. Spares and rebuild services for these engines are available.
Spec: Stack dash system, Penske 3 way adjustable dampers, limited slip diff, AP Racing brakes (6 pot front, 2 pot rear) with new Mintex race pads and floor mounted pedals. Recaro race seat and Scroth harnesses (HANS specific), Odessey race battery, Borg Warner T5 manual gearbox, with straight cut 5th gear. 8 x Dymag wheels included with the car (4 slicks, 4 wets) in 18” x 9” size. Dunlop slicks new in 2007 with just 35 minutes use. Tuscan Challenge spares are now available from specialists.
Since winning in 2004 the car competed in 2 races in 2005, was stored in 2006 and raced at Rockingham in August 2007 (pictured above). It retains its Lee Caroline paint work, later sponsor logos are removable vinyl.
This stunning car would be a front runner in the Dunlop TVR European Challenge (which has been awarded full MSA Championship status for 2008) and unbeatable in the European FIA GT90’s Revival Series’ GT3 class – see www.gt90s-revival.com In a similar but less well specified car we won the 2007 Silverstone round by over a minute and a half, placed third overall beating Ferrari F40, Porsche GT2 etc…
This car has double championship winning provenance and Porsche GT3 beating performance. A commemorative DVD set of the 2004 season will be supplied with car along with some spares
