Description:
1973 Chevron B24 F5000. Great History, ex Peter Gethin car. Originally ran in UK and USA F5000 events, before being converted to Centre Seat Can-Am spec and raced until 1985, then stored for many years. Totally rebuilt in 2005 to F5000 spec including a re-skinned tub, new wishbones, new roses, new bag tanks, new extinguisher, new belts, rebuilt Koni shocks, uprights and hubs crack tested, etc, etc. Engine was rebuilt with recond Lonzano Bros ported, Brodix heads featuring all new valve gear, new cam, new roller lifters, new roller rockers. Bottom end has steel crank, Carrillo rods, new Ross Pistons. Oil pump rebuilt with new gears and segments. The Injection system is by Lucas/Kinsler using a Hillborn inlet manifold. Only five races since the rebuild, perfect for Derek Bell Championship, F5000 40th Anniversary celebration events in the USA, or the NZ Historic F5000 events. Spares include, four mounted wet tyres, nosecone, front subframe, all original suspension arms.
