Description: 1996 Opel Vectra Super Tourer & huge spares package Built by Ray Mallock Limited (RML) UK for the Opel Factory Team, this car has full history and is in excellent and original condition and comes with a HUGE spares package. Car delivered to Opel Motorsport in South Africa to compete in 1996 SATCC. Driven by Mike Briggs (1995 SATCC champion) finished 5th in ’96 championship with 1 win, 1 pole and 9 podiums. Vectra delivered to Greenfields Mowers Racing to race in 1997 Australian Supertouring Car Championship (ASTC). Car driven by Cameron Mclean and finished 6th. Campaigned in 1998 – 2001 in ASTCC by John Henderson with best result of 2nd in championship in 2001. Car has done little racing (club only) since 2001. • Swindon C20XE engine – fresh, less than 2 hrs since rebuild • X-Trac 206 6speed sequential, recently dissembled and inspected, AP triple plate clutch • Brembo 8 spot front, AP 2 spots rear • AP air jacks • MoTec M4, Pi dash • CAMS logbook This is an excellent example of ‘90’s BTCC spec car with a completely known history, no big hits, two engines and a comprehensive spares package.
