Description: The last known, and correctly registered, Ford Cosworth of any type. First built up and registered in 2002 in the UK as a brand new "Ford Sierra RS Cosworth" it was used for two summers only and covered less than 2500 miles in that time. It was subsequently dry stored, and then dismantled for conversion to full Tickford RS500 specification. The conversion never happened, and due to the purchase of another vehicle the various components are now being sold. For sale in this advert is a genuine, low miles, Cosworth 909 road specification (sunroof model) right hand drive bare bodyshell, full cosworth 3dr registration documention (currently on sorn) the relevant VIN and chassis tags, and the private number plate of the car to which the documents relate. The V5 details are identical in every respect to the original 1986/87 cars, and shows only one owner from new. VIN starts with WFOEXX etc as per the originals. The external paint and bodywork is still in superb, "as new" rust free, dent free, ripple free condition. The engine bay and underneath are sound with only a bit of very minor surface corrosion in places, that is easily removed with a quick wire brush of the area. A coat of fresh diamond white to these would have the whole shell back to as new. The dvla registration website currently has a number of suitable alternative number plates for sale which could be used on the car, such as "MY02 COS" and "RS 51ERA" This shell would make the ideal basis of a high spec road or track 3dr or RS500 build. Price is £4250, (or £4000 without the rear quarter glass and trims as I already have a buyer for them) Shell on its own, without ID can also be purchased, please pm me if interested. (Just to clarify the ID is NOT for sale on its own. ) Shell is sat on a dolly for easy movement, and I can arrange delivery to any port for overseas buyers. The shell is currently covered up and dry.
