Abarth 127 Unique 1973 Regularity Rally Car
This Fiat Abarth 127 has completed the most famous historic rally in the world THREE times. 2014, 2017 and 2018 in addition it has completed the toughest of historic rallies Le Jog (2012) and The Pirelli Classic Marathon (2013).
Most of the above was achieved by its last owner David Power of Powerflex. We bought the car with the intention of rallying it. Unfortunately for us but fortunately for you our plans have changed.
However since our purchase we have installed a fresh ( ZERO HOURS) 80 Hp 1050cc Abarth engine and a NEW limited slip diff. We have also fitted new internal and external sills and it has passed it's UK MOT with flying colours.
When David chose this car to go rallying he did the following work:
It was completely rewired with new wiring with additional fuses for ancillaries.
New Hella spot and fog lights all relayed and fused.
Additional gauges, interior lights, reversing and fog lights.
Additional power and USB socket.
New custom made (in date) Corbeau seats and harnesses retaining inertia belts for road use.
New Brantz international 2S pro trip with additional drivers display.
New De Carbon shock absorbers and bushes.
New drive shafts.
Long Duralmin sump guard which has more than proved its worth.
Very rare ( and expensive) group 4 hydraulic fly off handbrake and rear disc conversion.
New discs and Pagid pads.
Comes with various spares including 6 spare wheels and special compound winter and rare studded tyres. Plus a spare front wing, windscreen, Rear and side polycarbonate windows.
This is a super fun, very capable, 100% reliable and light weight regularity rally car.
David built it to enter the Monte and had three amazing events. One of which is featured in Octane magazine (copy with the car).
The Monte Carlo Historique is notoriously difficult to get an entry for. The organisers want variety and two of Davids pals, one with a full rally 911 and the other who spent £40,000 building a Lancia Fulvia were both denied entry being told that they have too many 911's and Fulvia's.
The Abarth gained an instant entry each year, with only one other 127 entered.
Now with it's NEW Abarth engine and NEW LSD it is ready to storm the snowy Alp's.
This is a private sale and the car is located undercover near to Totnes Devon UK where it can be inspected by arrangement.
The whole package is offered complete with current FIA historic regularity passport, new engine, new LSD, new MOT and the spares.
