1965 Chevrolet 427 Corvette A Production
I am listing this for a friend. I have known this car for better than 25 years. This is the ex-Harley Morey 427 Corvette raced in the Rocky Mountain Region in historic events for more than two decades. Was a race car when purchased by Harley in 1990. Was a race car when acquired by the prior owner in 1983. When repainted for the 2006 Denver Grand Prix support race it was the cars 10th different exterior color. Started Nassau Blue, then Dark Blue, light blue, burgundy, red, yellow, silver (as it was when Harley acquired it in 1990), then red (1994) and two more yellows. At the time of Harley's acquisition from Basalt, CO, it was a big Flare silver car with a tilt front section. To take Historic Racing, the flares had to go. And, at the time, the tilt front end was also removed in favor of proper fenders and a hood. Harley painted it red. Then a light yellow and then the Chiquita yellow. The full history prior to the Basalt, CO owner David Clancy, is yet to be learned. Fresh engine by McCabe Motorsports. BowTie head. Correct Winters intake. 13:1 comp. Two races since rebuild. Texas Racer Super T10. 4:11 gear. 4 wheel disc. WIll deliver up to 1,000 miles from 80920 for FREE. 24' enclosed Classic trailer available in package deal.
