Up for sale is my Triumph Spitfire Race Car.

This car has run every season in the HSCC 70’s Roadsports for 8 years. Having had numerous upgrades over the years the car is ready to race having just raced at Brand Hatch GP circuit on 12/07/20. At its previous outing at Silverstone at the end of last year, it got the lap record by over a second. It’s a competitive car, reliable and also pushes the higher cc classes during race weekends. A fantastic opportunity to enter racing with the HSCC and comes with a HSCC vehicle identity form. 

The car is road legal so can be driven to events. Its also a great platform to modify more for other championships. The car currently runs all steel panels as per regulations and weighs in at approx 750kg with no fuel.

The car is being sold as I’m building a new car to race. 

MK4 Californian car Built new in 1976 but re-registered as a 1972 when it came back to the UK. 

The chassis is in fantastic condition and the body is also very good but has a few marks from its years of racing. Pictures show the car without front and rear bumpers but these will be included in the sale. 

Engine 

• Full race 1500cc engine. All components new approx. 3 years ago, balanced bottom end with ‘strapped’ crank

It will be sad to see the car go but it would be a shame to have it sat in the garage collecting dust when someone else could have a lot of fun in it.
