1977 Lotus Eclat

The car was prepared for the HSCC 70’s Roadsports series in 2014 and won Class D in 2017. Subsequently not raced in 2018, it was last raced in 2019 winning the class on 3 occasions out of 4 races. It benefits from the following specification:-

• Lotus 907 engine was built using high compression pistons, L14 camshafts, big valve ported head, lightened flywheel, paddle clutch

• Baffled sump and oil cooler

• Tubular headers

• Aluminium radiator, high torque starter motor and alternator

• Ford Type 5 heavy duty gearbox

• 4.1 diff

• Revolution 15 x 7 alloy wheels with YOKO A050 tyres

• Race weight 1020 kg (no driver or fuel)

• Uprated shocks and springs

• Bespoke roll cage by Rollcentre

• New 6 point harness fitted in 2020

• Plumbed in fire extinguisher in date

• Red top 40 battery with aluminium safety box

• Substantial spares package subject to separate negotiation . This include wheels, gearbox, diffs, suspension etc.

The car is well known within the HSCC paddock and comes complete with VIF forms.

The 70s Roadsports Championship has well-supported grids and usually consists of 8 or 9 rounds including races on Silverstone GP circuit, Brands GP circuit and Oulton Park (Gold Cup meeting). They are occasionally invited to race at the Silverstone Classic.
