Ford Escort RS1600
Original RS1600 with Type 49 shell, built in 1970. Raced in South Africa throughout the 1970s in the Springbok series. Rebuilt in 2008 by Harp Motorsport and competed in the Sprinkbok revival series.
Car comes with 1800cc BDA engine on 48DCOE Weber carburettors, ZF 5 speed gearbox and single piece prop. Atlas rear axle with 4.6CWP and LSD. Brake are vented discs with AP 4 pot front and AP 2 pot rear calipers. Front suspension has gas filled Bilsteins with adjustable platform to Group 4 spec, with alloy hubs. World cup cross member and quick rack. The rear has original leaf slipper springs with turreted Koni adjustable dampers, 5 link with rose joints. Group 4 alloy axle brace and alloy fully floating hubs. Boot mounted battery, fully plumbed throught with aeroquip, original works type dry sump oil tank, oil cooler, high capacity brass radiator and electric cooling fan.

Currently stipped to bare shell for painting. Currently in primer, will require re-assembly.
Brand new alloy block 2 litre BDG on new Lucas injection available by seperate negotiation.
