FIA Certified C3 Chevrolet Corvette
Originally built into a racecar in the late 80's by a North Carolina based racer, John Carpenter. This 1971 Chevrolet Corvette competed in SCCA and HSR events before being mothballed and shipped to the UK where it was unearthed by the owner, son of renowed Corvette racer Bernie Chodosh.
Over the last three years, the car has been restored and modifed to correct FIA standards and after a comprehensive process, the vette was awarded 10 year FIA papers March 2022.
With a full Andy Robinson FIA cage and long distance 125L race tank, very close attention to detail has been placed on adding the right, period correct details to ensure this car stands out.

For those wanting greater performance, the seller has negotiated with a respected engine builder the option of a 700bhp / 695ft lbs big block which is available under separate negotiation.
Aside from a large spares package, this car features:
Suspension - heavy duty suspension modifications with polyurethane bushes. Period correct rebuilt callipers with new discs, new gold race pads and new master cylinder. Heavy duty anti roll bars.
Wheels - American Racing 8.5 x 15 fronts running 7.00 Goodyear Bluestreaks, 10 x 15 rears running 8.00 Goodyear Bluestreaks. Plus a set of wheels sporting brand new road legal tyres. 10 wheels total.
Exhausts - £3,500 stainless steel exhaust system with period correct short open headers. Second set of side pipe mufflers for noise restricted events.
Interior - Recaro Pole Position seats, Auto meter gauges with removable steering wheel. Modifications have been made to the floor which has been sunk to accommodate drivers over 6” - a common problem amongst C3 racecars.
Drivetrain - 396 big block, TRW 11.5 Pistons. Crowler Rods, Steel Crank. 460 lift Crane cam. Edelbrock intake and 750 Holley Carb.
Muncie four speed with large input bearing and a 3:73 rear end.
