Thrust SSC Amalgam model
Description:
We are truly delighted to offer this wonderful pair of items together for sale. In the early years of Amalgam models, the company produced this superb model of Thrust SSC in its Black Rock livery. Thrust SSC holds the world land speed record, set on 15 October 1997, driven by Andy Green, when it achieved a speed of 1,228 km/h (763 mph) and became the first land vehicle to officially break the sound barrier.
The model offered is numbered 002 of the edition produced, measures approx 90cm x 26cm x 20cm including the base replicating the Nevada desert and plexglass dust cover.
The framed print of Thrust SSC by Michael Turner is hand signed by the artist, Ron Ayers, Andy Green (pilot), and Richard Noble. 46cm x 35cm.
A rarely available and truly special pair of items offered together.
