Description:

Chassis #57 of 60, the car was built by VW Racing Germany before being brought over to the UK by VW Racing UK, first used by Paul Lloyd Roach in the Volkswagen Racing Cup.

The car then changed hands to Phil House – winner of the Volkswagen Racing Cup in 2004 and 2005 in another Beetle RSi, who wanted to own one of these machines again. In Riley’s hands, the Beetle achieved victory in the Classic VW Cup at Thruxton, also competing in various hill climb events across the UK (car comes complete with its MSUK hill climb logbook).

Since Awesome acquired the car in late 2023, we’ve had the vehicle wrapped, replaced the clutch and had the gearbox overhauled, added a new lightweight battery, as well as a new Cobra Sebring T FIA bucket seats with harnesses.

We’ve also serviced the car and been on track twice with it.
