Ex-works Reliant Sabre 6GT, Px Lotus 23b ?
Well known historic racer!
Full competition history, starting with the works in 1964. Guest drivers included Tony Marsh, Raymond Baxter and other notables. Pictured in many books and magazines throughout the decades.
The car has a major race history through the late 60s and 1970’s in the ownership of Robin Rew.
Also raced in HSCC etc in the eighties until being sympathetically, and professionally rebuilt through the 90s.
Unlike some cars surviving from the 60s, 876 HWD can claim to be 99% original. Although the Bonnet was race damaged in the 70s, (T boning Brewster Righter's Cobra!) the original panel is still with the car long with many repair mouldings taken as a precaution.
This is a rare opportunity to acquire a truly unique car, built by what was at one time the UKs second largest motor manufacturer. Remember the Reliant Scimitar?
Condition is excellent, road legal, but unraced for many years. Will need some updating and recommissioning.
Engine is full race spec., as developed through the 70s, and still has the Les Ryder tuned Raymond Mays head originally done for the works, along with its three 42DCOE Webers. .
5 Speed ZF Alvis type gearbox, Independent rear end, all works built with Jag 4HU LSD.
A real classic racer, crying out for a new owner to take her forward as the proud lady she is.
