Description:

Alfa Romeo Giulia 1.6 Ti 1964 (lhd) Chassis number AR434371Originally sold in Italy, the car moved to Finland in the early 1990's where it was rebuilt as a rally car it used in a number of stage events there. I purchased the car 15 months ago from a collector in Finland and had it shipped the UK and registered it as a UK car. Built to Appendix K regulations, it has a valid FIA Historic Technical Passport. It could either be used as it is as an historic rally car, or simply converted for classic saloon car racing. Stripped interior but black door panels and dash complete, Full roll cage, battery cut-out, red Momo Corse bucket seats, six-point TRS harnesses (out of date) Sports alloy suede rimmed steering wheel, navigator footrest and map light. Good paintwork in silver metallic, older respray, not perfect.  New sills and recent refreshed brakes by Protech Engineering of Wallingford. Good chrome. Front and rear towing/recovery points are fitted. Steel wheels with nearly new Hancook tyres with a second set of black wheels, fitted with semi-slick Toyo tarmac tyres. Recent oil and filter service. The quality of the conversion from a road car into a competition car can be gauged by the details: the neatness of the wiring going to the auxiliary fuse boxes, for example, or the extra gauges for water temperature and oil pressure, both of which are genuine Alfa Romeo items. Excellent electrics all work. Will come will a fresh 12 months MOT and can deliver to a 70 miles radius of Abingdon. Straight-cut low ratio gearbox, mildly modified engine,120 bhp at 6,730rpm. Clean engine bay, alloy sump guard, twin-fuel pumps the boot, controlled from the cabin, recent Bosch battery. Starts and runs very well, good oil pressure, great dynamic handling and a lively spirited performer. Various spares included, including a spare bell housing.  The history file contains a number of items from its time in Italy and Finland, plus its FIA Historic Technical Passport for both racing and rallying, which is valid until the end of 2025. The car will also come with a two-part service, repair and parts manual in Alfa Romeo-branded lever arch files.
