This car has been stored, maintained and run to the highest standard by a Ginetta-experienced professional race team - Fox Motorsport - since October 2018.
In that time all of Fox’s recommendations for maintenance and upkeep have been carried out without exception. The car was raced by Optimum Motorsport for two seasons in 2016/17. The car was then unused and kept in storage at Optimum until October 2018 at which point the current owner bought it and has used it for track and test days only (no racing).
It is currently configured as the ultimate Ginetta G55 Track Day Car set-up with the Ginetta GT4 spec increased power, ABS and TC combined with Ginetta Supercup spec better aero, shorter Ohlins dampers and lower ride-height. Specifically it is fitted with the Supercup deeper front splitter and larger carbon-fibre rear wing, quieter rear-exit Supercup exhaust, and in August 2019 at a cost of £6k had brand new Supercup spec Ohlins dampers fitted along with the Supercup reduced ride height and geo.
The car weighs only ~1,080kg which combined with the Supercup aero and lower ride-height spec makes for a very quick Trackday car. The GT4 spec adjustable ABS and TC makes the car very manageable in wet or greasy conditions for a driver learning how to drive race cars.
The car will be delivered with wet tyres fitted. The car has a passenger seat with 6 point Schroth harness and an intercom fitted along with a Lonacre wide-angle rear view mirror making in-car instructing easier.
The original GT4 front splitter, rear wing, side-exit exhausts, side-exhaust blanks, and dampers have been retained and are available along with the car by negotiation (not included in the selling price of £45,000), so if future purchaser wanted to race the car in homologated GT4 spec they could do so with no further spare part purchases required.
Amongst the spares that additionally come with the car are an extra Supercup front splitter, CAN splitter cable, 3 extra sets of rims, and 2 Bosch ABS sensors.
The engine was re-warrantied by Ginetta with the standard 60 hour warranty in 2018 just before the current owner bought it. Since the warranty the car has completed 52 hours.
The original body colour is white. It currently has a red, black and white wrap on it.
