MCR S2 Duratec

A rare opportunity to acquire a multi-championship winning car! More recent results include 2019 Sports 2000 championship winner with a near maximum points score, winning all 12 of the last 12 Sports 2000 championship races entered, most recently on the Silverstone GP circuit in August, and leading the current 2020 Sports 2000 championship with a maximum score, having won all three of the races of the Covid delayed season contested so far this year. Box tubular space frame/stressed aluminium panel chassis construction

Integral safety cage, anti-intrusion side structures, aluminium crash box

Ford Duratec 2 litre 4 cylinder, twin cam 16 valve engine.

Hewland JFR gearbox and transaxle.

Rack and pinion steering

Dual master cylinder, Wildwood 4 pot racing brake callipers, vented disks.

Steel fabricated double wishbone suspension

Pushrod/rocker activated inboard dual adjustable Penske coil over damper units.

In cockpit adjustable anti-roll bar settings.

Lightweight GRP 5 piece bodywork.

Race Technology DL 1 data logger.

2013 chassis, and retro fitted with all significant MCR factory updates since. Engine re-built by MCR in 2019, and subsequently rolling road optimised by Andy Cattani.

Selling in order to acquire a new MCR, and continuing in the Sports 2000 series, so will be available to offer any guidance the new owner may require, in particular with set up and maintenance history from the fairly extensive records we have kept of the car’s racing history.
