Ford Escort Mk1 special saloon race car ,unfinished project. 
Had and known of the car many years , it was built and raced by George lynne in the early 70s and was raced Up into the 90s with a connection to Merlin Motorsport . 

Its had a new Historic T45 cage fitted with few extras from custom cages with all certificates.  New fabricated rose jointed steering column , new suspension arms on front , new alloy hubs on front, new 4 link bars ,  new alloy boot floor with new alloy fuel tank simular to alan mann race cars, big diff and gearbox tunnels with new alloy panneling, big rear tubs  , new seat rail bars fitted , flat floor driver side for floor mounted pedal box , tilton 600 series , All fabrication work has been done , the car is solid.

Rover v8 race engine needing re assembly and checking over. Brand new bottom end from Rovertec (v8 developments )forged pistons and rods , modified crank, 4.0. Big valve race heads with adjustable rockers and raised ports with infills. Quad dellorto carbs with matched manifolds , Lumininition kit, massive tvr style manifolds which are fabricated for the car.remote oil kit, 

Jaguar E type close ratio gearbox with matching rover belhousing , starter motor , propshaft and mounts  - all original to the car from when it was racing. 
Wide atlas back axle with lsd inside 
With drilled / vented 9" drum brakes on rear , watts linkage and 4 linked to car and turrets / rollcage. 
up front it has 2.25 bilstein motorsport strus with progressive springs , rear it has 2.25 coilovers again with progressive springs, front and rear antiroll bars, it uses a front arms simular to chevron / f3 cars but with a ford gt40 ball joint bearing-new bearings are fitted and come with tool . 
refurbished original moulded polycarb windows all wrapt up read to fit,  

new kevlar bootlid with original duck tail spoiler and new aluminium spoiler aswell as original, new moulded front clam with grill , lights and indicator lenses , broadspeed type arches with extended rear arches . Drivers door is alloy skinned with steel frame , passenger door is steel. 
 13x15 mamba rims rear with f3 slicks  , 13x10 mamba rims front , set of 4 steel weller 13x8 which we use to push it around on. And a pair of 13x15 steels wet tyre wheels. 
brake ducts on struts and axle ends.

Such shame to sell after doing so much work but we just dont have the time to carry the project on.  Its an original car with most of its original parts , nearly complete , nice project to carry on with a bit of history to find out about it.
