Crawford’s chief of design, Andy Scriven, led the development of the Crawford GT06 chassis, designed for pairing specifically with a Ford Mustang. Crawford would undertake various revisions so the GT06 chassis could accommodate a wider range of wheelbases and drivetrains, adding compatibility for the Infiniti G35, Corvette Z06, Ford Mustang GT and the Ferrari F430.

This Crawford-Ferrari F430 GT, chassis 001, utilises Crawford’s GT06 tube frame chassis and is equipped with Ferrari F430 engine, backed by an EMCO gearbox. It was commissioned by Scott Tucker, the first owner, and was built in 2008 at a total cost of over $750,000. This example was campaigned by Level 5 Motorsports in the 2008 Grand Am season, winning twice in the 2009 and 2010 SCCA National Championship Runoffs.

The Crawford Ferrari was designed to push the envelope on the then-in-place 2008 GT Grand Am rules, and is now eligible for a variety of events including Masters Historic, Le Mans Legend Series and SCAA events.

Cette Crawford-Ferrari F430 GT, châssis n° 001, est équipée du châssis tubulaire Crawford GT06 et du moteur de la Ferrari F340 associé à une boîte EMCO. Elle a été commandée par Scott Tucker, son premier propriétaire, et a été construite en 2008 pour un coût total de plus de 750 000 dollars US. Elle a été engagée par Level 5 Motorsports lors de la saison 2008 du Grand Am et a remporté par deux fois, en 2009 et en 2010, des épreuves du Championnat national du SCCA.

La Crawford-Ferrari a été conçue pour repousser les limites des règles en vigueur pour le Grand Am 2008 des GT ; elle est désormais éligible à divers évènements, dont ceux du Masters Historic, des Le Mans Legend Series et du SCCA.
