A Formula 1 car is already very unique in all respects. Yet the Toyota TF110 is an even more unique story. The F1 car that was all ready for the 2010 season, but in the end did not drive a single race kilometer. A few months before the new Formula 1 season started, the Toyota factory in Japan cancelled the F1 2010 season because of the then very severe global financial crisis. There were already 2 Toyota F1 cars of the TF110 generation. Ultimately, these never got further than the test track and as a Pirelli test car.

Inside the Toyota TF110 was a brand new 2.4 liter V8 engine. Basically this was the RVX-09 engine of the 2009 season, but with a number of updates. In 2009 this also proved to be by far the most reliable engine of the entire F1 field, because of the 2 cars there was only 1 technical failure in the entire season.
