Description:

This engine has been completely rebuilt by one of the UK’s leading UK Porsche specialists Rennsport of Moreton in Marsh (www.911rennsport.co.uk) with Zero miles since, never installed.

It was rebuilt to road specification using all new pistons, rings, shells, seals etc plus incorporating all the sensible modifications to allow the engine to have a little more pep than normal while respecting originality.

This is a genuine  911/57 2.4 engine.  Believe the 911/57 was fitted to all 2.4's 1970 - 1973.

The engine was due to have been incorporated into one of Rennsport's complete high end rebuilds, a 1973 911E, but after this engine was built, and before it was put into the car, we found another RHD 911E engine complete with MFI and with that engine being only a few numbers away from original supplied with the car plus having a complete MFI system, this engine advertised here became surplus to requirements.

Engine has never run in the car.  Paul Cockell owner of Rennsport, can provide full details of what has been done to the engine and is happy to confirm the work done by them.

Also listed are a set of original 2 x Weber 3bbl carbs which were planned to be put on the Rennsport car with this engine and are listed separately.  

A discount could be provided to any purchaser wanting to purchase both engine and carbs.

This engine can be viewed in Competitors Parking in International Paddock at Silverstone Classic Friday Aug 26th or Sat Aug 27th.  Otherwise is located near J8 of M11.

It can be delivered fo collection at Silverstone if paid for in advance.
