1996 RILEY & SCOTT MK III
1996 RILEY & SCOTT MK III
West Coast Exotic Cars presents this historic 1995 Riley & Scott Mk 3 Sports Prototype. Chassis #001 was
Campaigned by Dyson Racing from 1995 - 1997 in IMSA WSC where it battled for wins against the Ferrari 333 SP. The most prominent achievement of it's career took place at the 1997 24 Hours of Daytona where it took first place overall - the first Ford Powered Daytona Overall Winner since the GT40 in 1966.
Driven to this victory by notable drivers John Paul Jr, Butch Leitzinger, James Weaver, Andy Wallace, Rob Dyson, Elliot Forbes-Robinson and John Schneider. Running at Daytona a total of 6 times with multiple podiums as well as fantastic results all over the US, Chassis #001 is one of the most historic Prototypes in IMSA history. After spending almost twenty years in a museum the car was completely restored by AJR Restorations (formerly Alex Job Racing) in Tavares, FL. Over the course of almost a year, the car was completely disassembled and rebuilt, with no expense spared, to better than new condition. Details available upon request. The car was assembled and recently displayed at the Amelia Island Concours, but has not been on track yet and is completely fresh. Please call us with any inquiries.
