2001 Lindsay LMP675 Chassis 001 

A one off build by Lester Ray of Harrier Cars in Byfleet, UK.  Commissioned by Lindsay International Sportscars Ltd with the target to compete in the 2001 Le Mans 24hr.  Built with a aluminium honeycomb chassis with a mighty 3.3 V8 built by Nicholson Mclaren Engines paired to a Hewland NLT six speed gearbox and power flow differential.  Some parts such as the rear wing and brakes were carried over from the Harrier GT1.  Drivers were to be Valentine Lindsay, Rob Wilson and Peter Hannen who actually bought the engine for the project.  The drivers had all been competing together and against each other for many years in Endurance racing across the continent. 

Crash tests for Le Mans were passed and the car was extensively tested but unfortunately the 2001 entry was oversubscribed and a place was not granted.  Regulation changes for 2002 meant substantial further investment would be required and sadly the project was parked.   

In 2018 Lindsay LMP675 001 changed hands for the first time and since a full strip and rebuild has been carried out including a full overhaul of the Nicholson Mclaren engine.  Now fitted with a fresh fuel cell, safety equipment and all relevant parts crack tested.  

A very good looking LMP675, successfully track tested October 2022 at Silverstone and ready for further testing and racing with its next owner.  Spare crack tested wheels with the car.

Eligible to run in the Endurance Racing Legends under Peter Auto Britcar Pototype Cup, Masters Legends among many other series.
