Spice Engineering was a motorsport team created in 1980 by brothers Gordon and Derek Spice.
In 1984, they made their debut in the world sports car championship in the C2 category with a Tiga chassis. 4 victories in this year 84, followed by 5 victories in 1985 including that of the prestigious race of the 24 Hours of Le Mans.
When they decided to design their own carbon kevlar and honeycomb chassis in 1986, they chained the titles until 1989.
It was in 1989 that the Spice SE89C arrived. It was developed and manufactured with different engines in order to be eligible for American races. Mainly fitted with Cosworth DFZ 3.5L, the C2s also had the right to Buick engines.
Multiple participation in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, with very conclusive results.
The Spice SE89C-002 is equipped with the Cosworth DFZ 3.5L. Overhauled in 2021 by Heini Mader, the engine is very efficient with its 561 HP.
Box regularly opened following gear changes depending on the circuit.
Since 2019 it has been very competitive in Group C By Peter Auto races, with numerous podiums.
Maintained since 4 years at Burgol Racing Geneva, it shows no faults and is ready to drive.
