Forgive me with the footage, VBOX wasnt set correctly Bought and built slowly over the last 6 years, never missed a beat. Very fast capable track car. Most recent modifications were an upgraded brand new modified drexler rear diff and TTE550 turbo conversion. The car is very, very quick. Castle combe being my local track it managed a 1:13’s earlier this year in traffic following the large turbo conversion, it pulls like a train, all footage and times on VBOX to tell no lie, with a completely clear track I think it could do less than 1:12. I bought the car with 16k on the clock, I wanted to specifically find a standard low mileage car so I can build my own car choosing every component with reliability as key. After many track days the bottom end was precautionary checked and then refreshed 2 years ago with ARP bolts and king bearings, the bearings that came out were perfect. Some may argue this point but people convert the bottom end either with a baffle plate or an M2 sump conversion but with much research and mainly going on the advice from a race team in Australia that run the same engine in a 24hr endurance, I was simply told to overfill by 1litre and increase the oil pump lines too and from the oil cooler to maintain a more consistent pressure/flow, I have never had a problem. The myth behind this really works. I have heard of many people spending the money on the conversion + other upgrades and still having issues. It will stay out all day every day and barely get above 125’c oil temp on a very hot day. Engine runs like a dream, no noises or knocks. I check and change the oil after every track day, never a touch of swarth on the magnetic sump Plug. If you are looking for a super reliable very fast track day car that is ready to go then look no further, spare wheels, tyres and brakes! The car has always had everything it needed! It is one of them cars where a lot of people always come over and talk about, many people can’t believe how quick it is and how late you can brake. It’s a tough decision to sell the car as it has lots of sentimental value but I just simply fancy a change, potentially a lotus or a GT3, something with a rear/mid engine. I carried out the turbo/diff conversion earlier this year to try and scratch the itch of a change but following a few track days I have now reached the decision to make the change for a new adventure for next year. For anyone who is interested I would be happy to invite you along to a track day, no hidden agendas with this car. The car is very clean, no rust what so ever. Few minor scratches and stone chips, but to be expected on a track car, but all in all great condition! I have a Trailer too, 4 years old and only ever used for this car.
