Description:

The original car is restored in 2017~2020 in accordance with FIA gr.A homologation and is now in an immaculate new condition. All specs are time period correct. Car has FIA H.T.P. And is an easy, reliable and fun to drive straight forward old school racer. 
 

After restoration and due to covid, the car has not been entered in any event. Circuit shake down must still be done. The car successfully competed during the 80'ties. 
 

Owner/driver Hans van der Beek developed into a Mazda rotary specialist. Over the years he prepared and raced various Mazda rotary driven cars s.a. the RX7 SA (this car), the RX FC turbo and the model 929 Luce Rotary. Unofficially Mazda Japan and officially the Dutch Mazda Importer and Mazda dealer organization, with a special note to dealer Hoogwerf, supported van der Beek over the years. Mazda racing engineer Katsumi Sekida was an enthusiastic supporter of van der Beek - Beekautoracing -.  His rotary knowledge contributed a lot to van der Beek's success. Also the car now for sale holds a lot of "Kat's" specialism. 
 

The model SA now for sale won Dutch Touring Car Championships in '82, '83, '84 as well in gr.1B as in  gr.A specifications. It successfully raced against BMW, Camaro, Ford, Alfa etc. It entered several ETCC races s.a. SPA 24 hr '83 and '84, Zolder, Hockenheim. 
Wellknown Dutch drivers s.a. Henny Hemmes, Loek Vermeulen, Fred Frankenhout shared the wheel with Hans van der Beek during endurance events. 
The car is in perfect condition to compete during Peter Auto Heritage, DTM classic car cup and other classic car events. 
 

Depending on the buyers ideas, the car can be modified to suit other entries. Present gr.A specs can be modified to 1B in order to meet Goodwood regulations.

• Fire extuinguisher system in engine,driver and boot compartment.
• Add on is the exciting rotary "brapping" sound.
