BMW 2002Ti GP2 race car.

FIA HTP till 2028.  Competitive turn-key race/tarmac rally car with freshly rebuilt 202bhp engine.

*Originally built in 2010 with a lightened reinforced shell  and Safety Devices cage by Greenwood Motorsport .

* Acquired unraced by current owner and upgraded to FIA Gp2 specification with genuine BMW factory spec ‘Schweinbacke’ arches from Engels Rennsport in Germany , plus numerous special parts and period modifications.

* Now on its third  set of FIA HTP papers,  valid to 2028 in period G2  CT19. Eligible for all manner of Historic racing and rallying events . Also ideal for Tour Auto or Cento Ore.

* Steadily developed and campaigned over a ten-year period , but only raced on average once a year.

* Results include class success and  podiums  in CSCC  ‘Swinging Sixties’ , Top Hat Spa and Tour Britannia (twice) including fastest laps.  Class pole position Nürburgring ‘Nordschliefe’ Marathon ( ahead of 5 other BMW 2002s) .  4th in (unlimited capacity)  Class at Spa 3 Hours.

* Freshly rebuilt engine by BMW guru Graham Bahr with 202bhp on dyno sheet.

* Benefit of right-hand drive for best weight distribution.

*Road registered and taxed with UK V5.

Specification includes:

*Fresh zero hours 202bhp M10 engine with lightweight rods, JE pistons, KM race rockers, 316 Schrick cam,  Weber 48DCOEs, baffled sump, Ireland windage tray, double oil catch tank system.  Rare rhd manifold and 2002 Turbo exhaust system.  Still tractable enough to drive in traffic.

* Fully Poly bushed suspension with specially built Gaz FIA compliant struts and rear dampers. Uprated adjustable rear trailing arms and  anti-roll bars.

* ZF dog leg  5speed CR gearbox.   Uprated 4.1 ratio 2002 lsd  by  specialist Dinis Gomez .

* BMW ventilated front brakes. US import  Hawk pads and rear brake shoes.

*Set 6 Minilite style 8” wheels with choice of Yokohama or Toyo tyres ( both supplied).

* Plumbed in fire extinguisher ( 2024) system , Sparco seat (MSA to 2023) and TRS belts (FIA to 2023).

* Custom foam filled 92 lt long range fuel tank by Pro-Alloy .

Still has steel bonnet, bootlid and doors so eligible for Legends/FIA  G1 pre 1970 class  or  fit FIA compliant fiberglass items for even more weight saving/performance.
