Van Diemen RF89 Formula Ford 1600 complete car + spares

Here is my pristine and well loved RF89 Van Diemen for sale, we’ve had a lot of fun together, but the car has aged better than I, so onto hobby pastures new for me.

I have owned it since 1999 and rebuilt it countless times including not long before it last raced around 2015. The engine is dyno miles only, rebuilt in 2019 with Scholar, the dyno sheet is attached and it has been run-up in the car just to check all is well. It has a new steel crank and pistons with all the bearings individually matched for tolerance and I seem to remember the block was sleeved and the clutch is new. The overall condition of the car is excellent, has new calipers, pads and all three master cylinders so just needs a new set of seat belts, fire extinguisher and a set of tyres and you’re ready to go. It has a transponder fitted. Various spares and essential equipment are included in the price, namely,

- 8x wheels.

- 2x Front lower wishbones, new.

- 1x Rear lower wishbone, new.

- 1x Front trackrod.

- Quicklift jack.

- Low height, lightweight chassis stands.

- Corner weight gauge.

- Couple of spare gearbox ratios for the LD200.

- Lap timer and DL3 datalogger (can’t verify working, the DL3 may need a new GPS receiver).

- Plus various odds and ends.
