Ex-Mario Sarchet/UCLan Reynard FF86, winner of the Pre-'90 class in the 2018 Northern Formula Ford Championship and used for four hillclimbs in 2022. Eligible for many racing championships including the Formula Ford Festival and the Walter Hayes Trophy, and for the Formula Ford 1600 Pre-'94 class in the British Hillclimb Championship.

The car has an engine last rebuilt by Bold 230 miles ago (dyno figures available), a Hewland Mk9 gearbox, Avon ACB 9 tyres (6 miles), CL brake pads (6 miles), refurbished calipers, adjustable dampers all round, a transponder and a harness valid until 2028.

Its price reflects the following issues: the nosecone is damaged and needs to be repaired or replaced (Heritage Reynard can supply a new one), the nosecone frame has been bent and straightened but requires repainting or recoating, the body will have to be repainted or rewrapped to match the new/fixed nosecone, and the fire extinguisher is overdue for a service and is in any case no longer homologated for circuit racing.

Many spares are also available, including 12 gear ratios, other transmission parts, a set of wheels fitted with worn Avon ACB 10s and four non-adjustable dampers. A full list is available on request. The total value of the spares is £2830, but the buyer of the car can choose a selection. None of the spares will be sold separately until the car has gone.

Reason for sale: plans for 2024 have been put on hold, but rather than keep the car for another year I would rather see it back out on the tracks.

The car and spares can be viewed near Kelso in the Scottish Borders, approximately 50 miles from Edinburgh Airport and 25 miles from Berwick-upon-Tweed.
