Description:
This striking looking 2.5 litre Alfa Romeo GtV6 was built by Chris Snowdon Racing (CSR) in 2014 as a tribute to the Lella Lombardi/Tony Palma car sponsered by Alpilatte/Rotondi/Jolly Club that ran in The Europeon Touring Car Championship in the early 1980s. When Goodwood announced their Group 1/1.5 class for saloon cars to run at their Members Meeting at the Gerry Marshall Trophy, CSR prepared this car to full race spec. It has been a regular invitee since to Goodwood and has been driven my myself, Nick Minassian, Chris Snowdon, Nick Whale and Rupert Keegan in both the GMT and the more recent Gordon Spice Trophy.
It has also run regularly with Motor Racing Legends in the Tony Dron Trophy and was class champion in 2017, 2018 and 2019. It has also had many class wins and placings with HRDC as recently as a win a Snetterton in 2024 in their own Gerry Marshall Trophy.
The car has been continously upgraded over the years in engine, suspension and brake departments by CSR and Guru Richard Melvin.
The car has FIA HTP papers until 2029 and has a MSA sealed engine. It is road registered.
It is rumoured that the Goodwood Members Meeting in 2025 will be called the Win Percy Trophy and entries will only be up to 3 litres. Hence there must be a chance that this car will be invited.
