NISSAN Primera P11- S 2000 Works car
Ahead of the 2002 season of the FIA Touring Car Championship, a new regulation was introduced - Super 2000, among other things to lower the skyrocketing costs in Supertouring.
NISSAN Motorsport in England then had RJN Motorsport build two cars for the ETCC series. The drivers were the Norwegian Tommy Rustad and the Englishman Rob Collard. The cars had supertouring bodies like previous BTCC cars with a safety cage, integrated pneumatic jacks and body parts in carbon fiber material.
Our car was driven in 2002 by the Norwegian star driver Tommy Rustad in the ETCC with a final result of 15th place. The opposition consisted of, among others, the fast and mean factory teams from BMW and Alfa Romeo.
RJN sold the car in 2003 to a driver from Finland and in 2009 the car was sold on to a Swedish team that used it in long-distance racing. After an engine failure in 2014, the engine was renovated and has not been driven since. The engine should be run in carefully before new use.
