Description:

We are selling our old race trailer due to purchase of newer trailer.  TRAILER ONLY, NO TRACTOR UNIT.  (pit perch visible in locker is not included)

It is a Crane Fruehauf /VFP TA2, originally Manufactured/registered in 1991. 

The Trailer is no more than 4 meters high.  

The trailer MOT- expired 30.04.2024.  

Has been registered to meet European requirement, so has its own trailer registration on top rear corner of tail lift 

It has been well looked after and due to being on our Operators Licence has been subject to 12 weekly inspections until 2 years go.

Had 2x new airbags in June 2023 and has done very minimal mileage since. 

This trailer has regularly carried up to 5 cars, plus 2 scooters and a golf buggy.  (this was made up of a 70's F1, Historic sports car, 1965 911 and 2x formula juniors). 

As you will see from the photos, the bottom deck is somewhat limited in height (in that you cannot fit GT, saloon cars under the deck).  

The top deck allows for most cars.  (We have carried Porsche 997 GT3 RSR, Austin Healey 3000, Porsche 911 65', Shelby GT350 Mustang 65', MGB etc.)

The tail lift has never let us down with anything, but with a car such as Porsche 997 or Mustang it tends to be very slow going to reach the top deck.  Any single seater or 600kg sports car flies up without any problem.  

There is an anderson plug by suzie lines that when connected to the tractor unit, charges the tail lift batteries on a journey. 

There are lister style draw units for spares and a cupboard.  

With the office door being central to the top deck, it allows for nose cones on early 60's single seater etc to poke through (1963/64 F1 Brabham's, formula juniors etc)

The belly lockers are huge.  We replaced all of the locker doors, including new seals/edging and hinges.  A couple of the floors in the belly lockers could do with being replaced before too long. 

The office table is removable to allow 2x scooters to be strapped during transit (freeing up more space for cars). 

There is overhead storage space in the office, as well as under the seat benches.  Fridge included. 

The company logo on the side is Vinyl and can be removed relatively easily.  

The side of the trailer could do with a polish (we have done this in the past and it lasted 2.5-3 years).  Unfortunately, where the truck is located, the road in is often overgrown and regularly brushes branches etc.  

There are bits that could benefit from being painted too.  However, when washed it does scrub up well. 

Under very heavy rain when the trailer is parked there is a small leak in the office.  I am sure it could be found and fixed pretty easily, its wasn’t leaking when we last used it, so this has never been top of the list to look at since we are using the new trailer.

It will be a shame to see it go.  The trailer was spot on for 10-12 years doing multiple trips all over Europe every year. 

The trailer is available now.  Could be hitched up and collected tomorrow if desired (obviously requires MOT).  And put to work as is.  Or a little bit of time and money spent on it and it would be a fantastic trailer.
