So, having been a passionate Imp enthusiast for 40 years, the time has come for me to part ways with my magnificent little racer, which my schedule no longer allows me to drive as much as I’d like.

This adorable little car is a full race 1964 Sunbeam in exceptional condition, having undergone meticulous high-level preparation, both in terms of engine and chassis. It features a Hartwell 998cc full race engine with its traditional twin-choke Webers, a solid cam carrier, a Jack Knight 4-speeds dog box, upgraded suspensions, brakes, cooling system, fuel tank, steering, and gear linkage… in short, the full list of authorized modifications that make it a high-spec period race car (it has an expired FIA HTP). Apart from its perspex windows, it still retains its full metal bodywork… so that it can still be lightened or not, depending on the usage it’s intended for. It’s eligible for most national and international championships. It will behave superbly and reliably in between Gordinis, Coopers, Abarth, TTs, Anglias, Simcas, …

Judging by the comments from people at the track, it’s truly an “eye catcher” in the paddocks with a high affection rating. For the connoisseur, it’s also one of the most interesting and high-performing cars in its category, with its fabulous little inclined all-aluminum OHC engine, heavily inspired by her Majesty Coventry Climax FWB. With 118BHP out of 998cc at over 8500 rpm, it’s a piece of engineering that had few equals in terms of refinement in its class.

The car is in perfect condition and can be viewed 30 minutes from Brussels, Belgium.
