Ligier JS27 – Chassis #03 – Driven by Jacques Laffite
Rolling Chassis with Gearbox and Dummy Engine Block – Price on Request
An exceptional opportunity to acquire an authentic piece of Formula 1 history – the Ligier JS27, chassis number 03, driven by Jacques Laffite during the 1986 Formula 1 World Championship.
This chassis represents one of the final collaborations between Ligier and Renault during the turbo era, a period when the French team regularly challenged the front-runners such as Williams, McLaren, and Lotus. Designed by Michel Beaujonand Michel Tétu, the JS27 was a major evolution featuring refined aerodynamics, updated suspension geometry, and originally powered by the Renault EF15B Turbo engine.
Chassis #03 was entrusted to Jacques Laffite, one of France’s most celebrated drivers, and competed in multiple Grands Prix during the 1986 season. The car played a key role in one of Ligier’s most competitive campaigns of the decade.
Today, this example is presented as a rolling chassis, complete with its original gearbox and a dummy (empty) Renault engine block fitted for display purposes. The car remains in excellent cosmetic and structural condition, having been beautifully preserved in original specification. All period-correct details have been respected, making it an outstanding piece for collectors, museums, or historic specialists seeking an authentic and visually complete F1 car from the turbo era.
