My reading suggest this is a 1974/75 Type 2 Euro spec 1800 block....but i know bugger all about VWs/Porsches so.....

YOU must decide what it is & if it suits your application. I have looked at the block & cannot see any obvious damage or cracks etc....So....in the usual inane phrase '..it is what it is..'
