Overview

Offered for sale is Lola Formula Ford chassis 200/F3/21, a genuine period car with well-documented history.

After acquiring the car in December 2025, we entrusted it to the highly respected Formula car specialists Biehl Racing for a comprehensive inspection before competing with it ourselves. Although the car had previously undergone an extensive restoration, we decided to carry out a significant programme of additional mechanical and chassis preparation to bring it up to the standard we expected.

No expense has been spared. The result is a Formula Ford that has been professionally prepared by one of Germany's best-known Formula Ford specialists and is ready to be raced competitively.

Provenance & History

• March 1970 – Originally supplied new in the USA to Carl Haas, Lola Cars USA importer. The car was intended as a reserve chassis and was never raced during this period.
• Early 1980s – Sold to Murray Chalmers in California and successfully campaigned in numerous amateur Formula Ford races.
• Circa 2012 – Returned to Europe and owned by Gary Sproul in Scotland.
• May 2018 – Purchased by the previous owner from Esprit Competition at Paul Ricard, one of Europe's best-known historic racing teams.
• December 2025 – Acquired by ourselves

Professional Preparation by Biehl Racing (2026)

Following inspection, the following work has been professionally carried out:

• Complete rebuild of the Ford Kent engine
• Engine professionally dyno tested (dyno printout included)
• Complete rebuild of the Hewland Mk8 gearbox
• New wheel bearings
• Majority of suspension uniball bearings replaced
• New aluminium riveted floor
• Complete chassis inspection, with braces repaired or re-welded where required before refinishing
• Fresh suspension geometry and alignment
• New ignition leads
• New breather tank
• Serviced FIA fire extinguisher
• New FIA racing harnesses

Following the Nürburgring race meeting, the car has returned to Biehl Racing for a full post-race inspection and preparation prior to sale. It will be supplied fully checked and ready to race.

Race History

Immediately following its preparation, the car competed at the Nürburgring Race Meeting in June 2026, where it won its Formula Ford class.

The car has therefore not only been rebuilt but also proven on circuit immediately after preparation.

The supplied gear ratio selection allows the car to be configured for virtually any Formula Ford circuit in Europe.

The car can be viewed by appointment at Biehl Racing.

Independent inspections are welcomed.

Worldwide transport can be arranged, including straightforward delivery to the United Kingdom.
