Chassis 1 (of 25) run by March Engineering for Mike Thackwell in 1979 British F3 Championship. Finished 3rd with 5 wins. Winner of Monza Lotteria F3 race. Imported into Australia in 1980 by Russell Norden where it ran as an Arbyen in Gotcha colours. Winner at Sandown in 1981. Sold to Chris Kane, then to Neil Israel. Winner at Sandown 1984. 3rd 1984 Australian Formula 2 Championship. Extensive restoration commenced in 2017 back to 1980 AF2 configuration. All uprights (including spares) crack tested & serviced with new bearings, new wiring, brake seals, brake & clutch lines, master cylinders, rod ends, gauges, fuel pump, fuel lines, aluminium radiator, belts, airbox (mould included), rear wing & endplates, gearbox checked & serviced. New build in 2022 Short stroke 1.6 Volkswagen Golf engine with 2 x 48DCOE Weber Carburettors, Judd Manifold. 2 sets of Compomotive wheels (with slicks), spare centres & lips, 1 set genuine March magnesium wheels, high & low downforce front clip. Large number of gear ratios. Spare block & head (road car), crank (short stroke). Rear wing & centre mounts (from 1981). Dossier by Chris Townsend from RaceCar Histories, Historic Log book, CoD. Engine currently being refreshed. Nothing more to spend.
