1992 Belle 6 Car Enclosed Vehicle Transporter Trailer

Purchased for our own vehicle movements, but we’ve since moved on to another newer unit. It tows well and is mechanically sound, but requires some refurbishment to bring the chassis up to standard.

NO MOT SINCE 2023

Key details:

• Works from onboard PTO – just an Anderson plug connection needed.

• All internal ramp rams operate, but the click locking system is iffy.

• Rear door currently inoperative due to a burst hydraulic hose.

• Roof perspex has a crack; curtains mostly good with a small repair to the bottom of the nearside curtain.

• Towed from Southampton to Tewkesbury successfully; brakes, parking brake, and axles all in good order.

• Some rust on crossmembers as photographed. However previous owner spent money on underside maintenance, suspension etc.

• Tyres in good condition; 4 spare wheels onboard.

Summary & Sale Info:

I towed the trailer from Southampton to Tewkesbury with no issues at all - it tows very well. None of the axles run warm, all brakes are working correctly, and the parking brake is good, all lights working properly. The previous owner has spent money underneath, which can be seen in the photos taken from the pit.

The worst area structurally is rust on some of the crossmembers, which would require the floor to be lifted to address properly. We decided to abandon the refurbishment project as we don’t have the in-house skillset and don’t want to risk a large bill outsourcing the work.

We needed a unit immediately, so we’ve since purchased another trailer for £75k.

We can’t currently demonstrate the rear door working due to the burst hose. Axles require little to no work, tyres are good, and there are four spare wheels onboard. 

Perfect for a mechanically capable person looking to get into enclosed car transport. Runs at 4m for European work!
