Built on a 1985 (B) XR3 in the early 90’s this car raced successfully in various championships including the Group 1 Championship and the Pre 1993 Touring Car Championship.

The car has been in storage since 2014 and was stripped and rebuilt to a stunning standard throughout 2024/25 to current race regs.

Its now been out a few times and is ready to go with exception of a harness (it's out of date) and possibly a seat. I find these are quite a personal thing so have just fitted spares I had.

The Group A’ Datapost Escorts from the mid 1980s prepared by Richard Longman Racing for himself and Alan Curnow were a common sight at the front of the grids. Followers of saloon car racing during those times will remember them due to the stunning paintwork and the competitiveness of the cars with bigger more powerful machinery.
