BMW E46 330ci Race Car.

2025 750MC Roadsports Championship Class B Champion & 3rd Overall, holding various lap records. Genuinely ready to race

 

I’ve taken the decision to sell my beloved E46 330ci Race car due to a rapidly growing business and family commitments mean I simply don’t have the time to race and won’t for the foreseeable future - I don’t want to leave the car to deteriorate unused.

Car’s history;

The car was originally built for the 330 challenge, supporting series for the M3 Cup, but when that series disbanded, the original builder / owner converted for use in Club Enduro (Class C) where they won the class championship and set some lap records along the way. (Car still holds the Club Enduro Class C at Spa!)

Since purchasing it in 2021 I have carried out an extensive upgrade & rebuild, improving all aspects of performance.

It has raced in BRSCC Clubsport trophy winning Class C, Class B and overall races, BMWCCR winning the Class M2 championship and 750MC Roadsports class B where its has been on Pole position and won several races, set lap records and most recently won the 2025 Class B championship with a 3rd overall championship & “best prepared car 2025”.

It is suitable for a wide range of series and is ready to race.

Spec

Drivetrain / Chassis

M54B30 3.0 straight 6 engine. Mechanically standard bare engine, with the following upgrades;

Custom ECU mapping, Exhaust header and full exhaust system. Cold air intake, Upgraded oil pump, Baffled sump, CFS racing radiator, Oil Cooler, Electric Fan, Extensive cooling upgrades including M3 header tank system, mechanical thermostat retrofit. Uprated Pulleys. Circa ~250bhp, many dyno sheets to verify.

Gearbox : Standard 5spd manual with Coolerworx chassis mount shifter and solid mounts. New Flywheel & Clutch mid 2025.

Differential : Custom final drive ratio, Drexler LSD, BMW rear cooling plat. Originally built by Gear Labs and recently fully serviced by them including New bearings, seals etc; like new. Custom diff cooling system monitored and triggered by the AIM dash / software.

Brakes: Front Brembo (Megan RS) 4 piston calipers with M3 size front Godspeed 2 piece discs, Rear standard size disc and pad (M3 fitment) – offers lots of disc pad choices.

Suspension : Gaz Shocks which have been custom valved and dyno’d, vastly improving the original Gaz system. Uprated anti roll bars, HD front wishbones  (new 2025) adjustable drop links, Camber/Caster bushes. New front hub/ bearing assemblies.

Rear end has recently (late 2025) been completely rebuilt with a new subframe undergoing extensive strengthening and welding then powder coated. New rose jointed control arms, upgraded toe adjustment brackets, solid chassis mounts and new powerflex diff mounts.

Wheels : 2x matching sets of 17x9” lightweight forged wheels (running 255/40/17 A052 tyres)

Interior / Electronics

Fully and extensively stripped and lightened, seat is out of FIA date but fine for club use. Custom lightweight fibreglass dashboard, AIM digital dash / GPS lap timer, fully functioning with CAN data inputs from BMW ECUs & Smarty Cam Camera, Removeable Steering wheel with wireless Blinkstop controls for lights (including F2P), indicators, radio. CANBUS dash buttons, Heated windscreen (heater / fan system removed), fully stripped and custom wiring loom, lithium battery, brand new (2026) SPA mechanical fire extinguisher system, electronic battery master switch. Full racecar radios pit to car radio kit with car kit plus 2x mechanic kits.

 

Exterior / Body

Poly windows all round (plus a full new Tegiwa set in a box), heated windscreen. Lightweight fibreglass panels;

Front bumper and front wings (M3 size), Bonnet, Doors (with window frames),  CSL style boot lid, Roof and fully skinned and stripped rear bumper skin (very light). Matty Evans rear M3 wing. Front Splitter / floor with air dam. Fiberglass headlight panels with replica light stickers and LED flashers indicators retrofitted. Rain light integrated into boot lid.

Car has excellent reliability record and is maintained regardless of cost. For example diff and gearbox oil changes 2-3 times per season, engine oil change every round etc.

It comes with a spares package with various spares including steering, engine, suspension parts.

Under the wrap which was new in 2025, the car is originally Imola Red and has had the top half of the panels painted black. Condition is very good with only one small scuff on front bumper corner from clipping a tyre stack.
