Offered for sale is Lotus Evora GTE Chassis #1 – one of only two factory-built Lotus Evora GTE race cars ever produced and the very first chassis completed for Lotus Motorsport's return to international endurance racing. As Chassis #1 of the programme, it represents the beginning of Lotus' final factory-backed GT racing effort and is widely regarded as one of the most important competition cars ever built by the marque.

After a 17-year absence from the legendary 24 Hours of Le Mans, Lotus returned in 2011 with an ambitious FIA GTE-Pro programme. Developed in cooperation with Lotus Motorsport, Dallara, Cosworth and YCOM, the project reportedly involved an investment of approximately £14 million and marked Lotus' determined return to the highest level of GT endurance racing.

This is the original Le Mans Car #64, entered by Jet Alliance with official Lotus factory support. During the 2011 24 Hours of Le Mans, the car demonstrated impressive pace and reliability throughout the race before being forced to retire after more than 20 hours of competition following an accident while running strongly in one of the world's toughest endurance events. Despite not reaching the chequered flag, Chassis #64 remains one of only two authentic works-built Lotus Evora GTEs ever constructed and is the original Le Mans factory entry.

Today, the car has been meticulously preserved and professionally prepared to its original 2011 specification. It has returned to the Circuit de la Sarthe to compete in the prestigious Legends of Le Mans demonstration races during the FIA World Endurance Championship weekend, once again wearing its iconic historic blue-and-white Lotus factory livery with the original sponsor graphics.

Prepared and race-supported by renowned Lotus specialist Komo-Tec, the car has proven its performance once again by recording lap times faster than those achieved during its original Le Mans campaign. Its recent appearances have further confirmed its authenticity, competitiveness and historical importance.
