I have for sale my Mitsubishi Canter Car Transporter complete with fully covered tilt bed and electric winch.  The vehicle has a fresh MOT for 2016 and is ready to go for the new season.  Originally a Greek vehicle, it was imported and has been fully registered as a UK vehicle with appropriate V5 etc.  As it has a gross vehicle weight of up to 3.5t it can be driven on a STANDARD UK driving licence, so it’s perfect for those WITHOUT a UK trailer license (b + c) as they can still transport their vehicles to race meetings in a covered transporter.  Being Left Hand Drive, it would also be particularly useful for transporting race cars across the continent.

The vehicle is powered by a 2.5 TDi engine producing c.140bhp and has a five speed gearbox for easy long distance travelling.  The cab benefits from a pair of electrically operated seats from a Porsche 911 providing a comfortable ride.  In the rear part of the cab, there is also a bed.

The hydraulic tilt bed is fully operational allowing the loading of particularly low vehicles such as formula cars, and has an electric winch.  The vehicle also comes complete with a set of amber flashing lights which can be mounted on the roof. 

The transporter bed is approx 4.5m long and will accommodate sports cars, medium sized touring cars (think Mk1 Lotus Cortina rather than Notchback Mustang!) and most formula cars.  It also boasts a 300mm extension frame to allow transit of slightly larger vehicles, whilst maintaining full coverage (see picture).  

The vehicle is also fitted with a tow bar allowing for up to an additional 3.5t (gross) trailer to be towed behind.

The vehicle has covered 135,000 miles from new and was first registered in January 1999.
