LOLA T-342

This 1976 LOLA T-342 was raced from new untill 2008, and had only two owners, before I bought it last year. (I am the third owner only - other projects are forcing me to this sale)

The LOLA was last raced at California Speedway in Fontana 2008, and the 1600 cc FORD OHV and HEWLAND transaxle have about 20-25 hours of use since their last rebuild. The car is setup like in the seventies, with the exeption of modern safety equipment like a fuel tank bladder, safety belts, extinguisher etc.

The car will need a small check-up, before it is race-ready. The car is sold on a bill of sale with SCCA and VARA logbooks dating back to the early 1980's and an extensive spares package.

The LOLA heritage registry indicates that this car was produced in 1975 and sold to Chuck Gee, from whom the second last owner purchased it in 2005. The car shows well in its black and green livery, and is sold with three nosecones. The one pictured was used in races, and a second new nose cone in the same livery is included also a third unrestored high downforce unit.

In addition to the fitted four spoke wheels, the sale includes a complete set of mesh wheels. A pair of mesh wheel centers and six split outer rims are also included. A set of narrower steel wheels used for transport on a narrow trailer are also included.

A tilton brake bias adjustor is mounted on the right of the panel, and the car features adjustable pedals to accommodate drivers of different heights.

The HEWLAND transaxle is flanked by inboard disc brakes. A box of unused alternate gear sets and final drives for the Hewland is included. And comes with a setup sheet.

The bodywork consists of the nose cone, center section, engine cover, and intake snorkel. The car has a hard wired transponder.

The car was raced in period from new and the logbooks date back to the early 1980s. The SCCA logbook tracks the car's history from 1990 through 2001, while the VARA logbook chronicles its life as a vintage racer from November of 2003 through july of 2008.

Included with the car is a substantial spares package that includes additional uprights, birdcages, and springs, a spare aluminium oil tank, four brake discs..

The car has been started and warmed every six months, and the fuel has been changed each time. The LOLA has always been dry stored!

The car is now stored in Brussels area - Belgium. Transport can be organised.
