Mk 1 Lotus Cortina

This car started life as a rally car and was quite successful, it had been stripped right down and seam welded, painted and strengthened where nessesary, we have changed a lot of the spec back to Appendix K status which has meant a brand new gearbox, new rear differential internals, new rear suspension, new front suspension, new brake pipes, new fuel cell monted low in the boot for stability, new fuel pump, engine has a brand new head and valves to conform as it did have the large valve head. both Webbers have been overhalled and tuned, brand new exhaust side exit pipe, all glass has been changed to polycarbonate brand new side and rear with ventilation, new front windscreen with electric demist, heater matrix removed for wieght saving, new tyres, spare set of Minilite wheels with tyres, engine has undergone a complete re build by Ridgeway racing engines and is putting out in the region of 190 bhp, lightweight battery fitted, sparco racing seat with passenger seat, (Not Fitted) Bolt in roll cage, seat belts in date, (both sets), lots of info on the car including photo's of initial work to bodywork etc. it has cost us much more than we are selling the car for, there are cheaper cars on the race cars direct site, but they are unlikely to have had as much done as this one.
