This car complies exactly to 2017 BMW Racedays specification.  Built by Harry Fairbairn’s BMW master technician Andrew Harvey and assisted by GTG Qualified technician Mahtabh Pall.

Race prep for 2016, 2017 seasons was with championship winning KC Motorsport of Edinburgh. The car has been driven by 16yr old Ruaridh Clark

 First in class in 2016 Team Endurance race of Remembrance. Third at Rockingham 2017 SMRC BMW Compact Cup Round. Fifth and Six on final rounds of the 2017 BMW Racedays Compact Cup at Brands Hatch. (It also “allegedly” holds the record for the most overtakes in 2017 season)

This BMW Compact is up for sale as Ruaridh is moving to a different championship for the 2018 season.

The car comes with a spare set of wheels on Nankang tyres used for two races. 

V-BOX camera and lap data system fitted, including laptop software.

 A donor rolling shell. (Missing the following parts: W/screen, n/s door,off/s door glass, bonet, front grill,landing panel headlights,indicators, Gearbox, interior, rear light cluster and various other items)   

M44 1.9 engine, which runs but will require refurbishment.

 

This car originally started life as a 1997 e36 316ti compact P592 xxx Having had 3 owners this car still has its V5. (On SORN)

The initial Race preparation took place at GTG automotive training specialist, where the car was stripped of all non-essentials, including removal of factory underseal in a bid to make the chassis as light as possible. The car was resprayed white from its original black and then transferred to Harry Fairbairn’s for the race rebuild.

The whole brake system front and rear was renewed with original BMW parts, including front and rear competition braded hoses and Carbon Lorraine competition pads.

The race car was completed in June 2016. The total cost of this professional race build was just over £10k.

KC Motorsport have taken care of the car from 2016 and all of 2017 season.

The 2017 season prediction was to see car and driver finish races in the top 10. This was achieved as previously mentioned at Rockingham and Brands Hatch.
