Built originally by New Zealander Bill Stone of March Engineering formula 1 team, incorporating a great deal of his inovative engineering skills, the Morris was further nurtured and developed in the hands of Tony Preston who won four outright championships in the last five years with it.Make no mistake this is a very well developed car.
The car features a powerful 1275cc A series engine with all the best mods, too many to list. Built by the capable hands of Paul Inch Racing Engines of Plymouth.Running a fully gasflowed Slark head, period IDA Weber carb,Specially made maniflow exhaust manifold. Pauls own selection of camshaft. etc, etc.The wins it has achieved speak volumes for its effectiveness.
A lightened flwheel and competition cluch, is mated to a straight cut ribbed gearbox and feeding to a salisbury LSD and uprated race halfshafts.The list goes on with a custom bias pedal box on the floor through braided hoses to discs on the front and drums on the rear.The rear axle is controlled by an "A" bracket suspension ,locating on the diff.
Running on a set of Minilight wheels with the regulation Dunlops, it it fitted with a professionally made full roll cage,racing seat, full harness,fire extinguisher, alloy tank in boot feeding a facet petrol pump.Varley battery with emergency cut offs.
This vehicle is presented as a racing car exactly as it competed in its last race in Octaber 2017 at Thruxton winning the CTCRC pre 66 championship outright for the fourth time, it is on the button ready for its new owner to write its continuing racing exploits.
