Rare high specification Mitsubishi Evo 6 rally car.

It features high-grade components throughout, a powerful freshly built blueprinted engine with a new Evo 9 turbocharger, crack tested and rebuilt Drenth dog box with sequential shifter and crack tested transmission. New Makinen centre diff, RS rear diff etc. Represents a great value entry point to competitive rally events.
Complete with MSA log book and V5. MOT until 31.03.2022.

The car’s engine and transmission has just been rebuilt by Quantexe Motorsport.
Its full mechanical build specification is included below. The machined 2.0-litre block incorporates new Wiseco high-compression pistons, I-beam con-rods and ACL competition big end bearings. There is a blueprinted cylinder head with competition valve springs and retainers, as well as rally cams from GT Motorsport. The engine was installed and mapped by the renowned motorsport specialist, Terry Stamper.

* Current power with a 34mm restrictor on the turbo - 325bhp - 400 lbft torque.
* Restrictor taken off, high pressure fuel pump and remapped over 400bhp easily and increased torque, even higher with a larger turbo into 500bhp.

FULL SPECIFICATION

Evo 6 shell with aluminium bonnet and wings, aluminium rear wing etc, seam welded, full Custom Cages multipoint weld in cage, lightened by Matt Edwards (British Rally Driver), full alloy sump guard, alloy diff guards, roof vent, Kevlar fuel tank guard and Kevlar under-guarding, Brand New exterior respray in Mitsubishi Ralliart Passion Red, new Rallye Monte Carlo decals by Lively Graphics.

New engine build:
OE Mitsubishi Evo 8 block machined to accept 86mm Wiseco forged high compression pistons and rings final compression ratio @ 9:1
Block machined and blanked on balance shaft oil gallery
Block decked to suit piston compression height
Blocked machined to accept heavy duty thicker competition crank thrust washer
Immaculate standard crank fitted into block using ARP main stud H/D kit using ACL competition bearings and competition thrust washers
I-beam steel rods with Wiseco high compression pistons fitted using ACL Competition Big End bearings
Crank, rods, pistons, pulleys etc all dynamically balanced together as required prior to fitment
New OE complete oil pump cover and pump assy fitted incl. balance and oil shaft delete kits
Modified oil pickup fitted to pump assembly
OE blueprinted Mitsubishi Evo 8 head fully refurbished and reassembled using selected valves and competition valve springs and retainers and high temp valve stem oil seals
Head fitted with GT Motorsport 268 competition high torque rally cams
Head installed using ARP competition head stud kit and HKS 5 layer steel high compression head gasket
New gates cam belt fitted with new OE tensioner and base circle timing set to Quantexe motorsport specification
New water pump fitted
New OE Mitsubishi Evo 9 turbo fitted with 34 MM restrictor fitted to engine with exhaust gas recirc. deleted from exhaust manifold
Engine built with complete new OE gasket set
Mappable GEMS ECU
Engine installed and mapped by Terry Stamper (royalty in rally car tuning) on Regulation FIA Carless Hiperflo 102 Ron turbo ultimate fuel
New AeroQuip fuel lines throughout
Brand new AMS air intake
Anti-Lag on switch

Transmission:
5 speed Drenth dog box stripped and checked, crack tested and rebuilt as required using new bearings and seals
1-4 dog rings and corresponding dog gears replaced and second hand 3rd-4th selector fork fitted
Gearbox re-shimmed correctly and assembled using OE factory sealant
Transfer box stripped ,checked and crack tested and rebuilt as required
New OE Makinen viscous centre diff and front Torsion type diff fitted into transfer housing and shimmed as necessary
Transfer reassembled with new o-rings and OE sealant
New Exedy Rally Clutch
IKEYA Shifter (sequential shifting) with shift indicator
RS rear diff, shafts, hanger etc.
Rear diff assembly. Stripped , checked and crack tested and rebuilt as required
LSD assembly rebuilt using new Ralliart OE friction plates plates
LSD shimmed to preload of 50 lb-ft
Diff reassembled with correct OE sealant
New Ralliart bushes

Suspension:

Fully refurbished 3 way Proflex suspension in excellent condition serviced by Proflex

Brakes:
Front: rare Mitsubishi Ralliart team AP Racing Group A 4-piston callipers complete setup with titanium pistons
Rear: Brembo callipers with DS3000 pads standard discs, bias brake valve and hydraulic handbrake

Newly serviced FIA Electrical fire extinguishers
