BMW E30 318iS Race Car

This is a well-developed BMW E30 318iS. Undoubtedly one of the fastest 318iS cars in the country.

It has had significant investment (all major wok has been done by Northampton Motorsport, JC Racing and BDS Motorsport) and is very competitive. 

Bought fresh-built in 2017, this is a great car and has helped me and my son have a wonderful start to our racing adventure. Only looking to sell now as we have moved up to a larger displacement category, with a new car. 

The car is in great condition, won the CSCC Future Classics 80s in 2018, and has  competed well, and reliably throughout my ownership. 

The car has just competed successfully in the 2022 Spa Summer Classic. the reparation for this event means it is bang up to date with everything you need to go racing. 

So…all work is fresh and the car is  great for a number of different series….Future Classics, Club Enduro, CTCRC etc etc 

Here’s a summary spec…

Total rebuild with all new BMW parts…many people comment on the great condition…some minor dings, but super for a competing race vehicle...underneath its incredibly good. 

Safety Devices multi-point cage (through to engine bay), bolted and welded, FIA approved. 

Rear Strut brace. Polycarbonate windows, and rear vents. Lightened doors. Aluminium panelling to interior. Nice dash with auxiliary gauges. 

Cobra Revolution race seat and Sabelt harness. Lowered steering column. E46 Purple tag quick steering rack. 

Gaz Gold coilovers all round, fully adjustable. Fully poly-bushed. H&R Adjustable anti-roll bars front and back. Suspension set up and corner weighted. 

Engine rebuild with AT Power Throttle Bodies, ARP bolts, Bosch injectors, baffled sump, skimmed and ported head, Cat Camshafts and machined pistons (by JC Racing), plus custom-made exhaust and manifold…dyno'd this year at 208bhp.

Newly Rebuilt gearbox, new clutch as part of the build. Quick shift.

Fully rebuilt plated (upgraded to 188mm case) LSD, with ultra-rare 4.45:1 final drive.

New standard 55litre fuel tank, and Bosch internal pump. Fuel swirl pot and second high pressure Bosch pump installation (prevents fuel starvation on low fuel levels). Re-plumbed fuel system with teflon lined steel braided hosing through the car. 

Mintex M1155 Race Pads (new) all round. Race brake fluid (Motul 600). 

Fire suppression system with FIA spec Lifeline Zero 2000 4.0 litre fire extinguisher just serviced and good for two years. 

Team Dynamics ProRace 1.2 wheels (freshly powder-coated in black), currently wearing Dunlop Direzza 205/50 x 15 tyres. Separate set of revolution style wheels (seen in some of the pictures) with Uniroyal Rainsport 3s, and another set of Team Dynamics with Direzzas - available by negotiation. 

The car also comes with boxes of spares...including power steering pump and rack, spare gearbox (diss-assembled), engine block, sump, heater box, wing, boot lid, trim, bumpers and loads more...
