Description:
For sale is our beloved Austin A40 which we raced in the HSCC Historic Touring Car Championship. This is the cheapest way into this prestigious championship and one of the cheapest ways to start Historic Racing.
The car is a regular class winner and often punches above it's weight, racing with cars in the superior classes including Lotus Cortinas and Mustangs.
The engine is 1140cc, built buy Trevor Whybrow of TW Engineering including a recent new cylinder head. It produces 120bhp (dyno'd at BHPerformance). It was rebuilt and dyno'd on the 10/06/2020 and has done minimal races since then. It runs aldon ignitor and a 45 Webber.
Most of the chassis/setup work was carried out by Sonny Howard of SHP Engineering.
