This 1987 Porsche 944S is powered by a 2.5-liter inline-fourpaired with a five-speed manual transaxle and is finished in Alpine White. Itremained registered in California from 1991 until it was acquired by theseller in May 2023. Subsequent modifications included theinstallation of Ground Control coilovers, Wilwood four-piston brake calipers,stainless-steel brake lines, an FVD Brombacher bump steer kit, an AutopowerIndustries roll cage, a Sparco quick-release steering wheel, and blackcloth Corbeau bucket seats with five-point harnesses. Work under currentownership included rebuilding the front lower control arms, flushing the brakefluid, and replacing the wheel bearings, brake rotors, parking brake shoes, andtie rods. This 944S shows 281k miles and is offered at no reserve with anowner’s manual, a clean Carfax report, and a clean Georgia title in theseller’s name.

The car is finished in Alpine White and has pop-up LED headlights, fog lights, a removable power-tilting sunroof, and a rearspoiler. A FOHA front spoiler, a European-style rear bumper, and Turbo Cupside mirrors were reportedly fitted under previous ownership. LED headlightsare installed according to the seller, and decals and a front tow hook havebeen added. The hood and left-front fender are said to have beenrefinished, and paint imperfections around the car can be seen in the gallerybelow.

Five-spoke 17″ wheels were mounted with 205/50 front and225/45 rear Toyo Proxes R888R tires in August 2023. The rear torsion barswere removed and 968-sourced sway bars were reportedly installed under previousownership, and modifications installed in summer 2023 included thefollowing components:

• Ground Control front struts w/rear coilover shocks

Work under current ownership exceeded $10,000 included rebuilding the frontlower control arms, flushing the brake fluid, and replacing the wheel bearings,brake rotors, parking brake shoes, and tie rods.

The cabin has been fitted with a pair of Corbeau bucketseats with five-point harnesses as well as an Autopower Industries roll cage.The carpets and rear seats have been removed. Other details include cruisecontrol, power windows and locks, RS-style door pulls, a fire extinguisher, anda sueded shift boot.

A Sparco quick-release steering wheel frames a 170-mphspeedometer, a tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The six-digit odometer shows281k miles, approximately 1,200 of which were added under current ownership.

The 2.5-liter inline-four features four valves per cylinderand was factory rated at 187 horsepower and 170 lb-ft of torque. The valvecover and intake manifold were reportedly powder-coated in August 2022, atwhich time the valve cover, intake manifold gaskets, and vacuum hoses werereplaced. An oil change was performed in May 2023.

Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manualtransaxle. The seller notes the clutch master cylinder was replaced in August2022 and the driveshafts were replaced in August 2023.
